Hi, I’m Monica
I am a New Zealand Registered Dietitian (NZRD) with a passion for food and its role in our physical, emotional, cultural, and social health. From a young age, my love for food and fitness has grown through sports and cooking. Growing up in rural New Zealand, there was minimal access to nutrition education, which fuelled my curiosity and led me to pursue a career in dietetics at the University of Otago.
Now, I am dedicated to helping others navigate the overwhelm that comes with improving our nutrition. My goal is to provide clear, evidence-based insights that you can easily incorporate into your lifestyle, empowering you to become the best version of yourself.
In my clinical work, I engage directly with a diverse range of individuals, many of whom may have recently been diagnosed with conditions such as type 2 diabetes or MAFLD (metabolic associated fatty liver disease), or who are managing IBS-related symptoms, or are navigating hormonal challenges associated with PCOS or perimenopause.
Nutrition plays a fundamental role in managing these conditions, and I am dedicated to helping my clients understand the impact of their dietary choices. I give personalised nutrition strategies that empower individuals to take control of their health and wellbeing, there are no cookie-cutter plans here!
Nutrition is personal - let’s make it delicious!

Food gets overcomplicated - let me simplify it for you
As a clinical dietitian, I've worked with a diverse range of individuals from various backgrounds, each with unique health concerns and lifestyles. No two people are the same, and that means there is never a one size fits all approach with nutrition.
Nutrition science is always changing and there is an abundance of misinformation coming from the news, social media, your neighbour, and everyone in between - let me smooth it out and provide clarity for what is relevant for you.
I’m not perfect and neither should you be! Food is so much more than its nutrition - it is culture, social, emotional, celebrations, intimacy. I work WITH you not at you.
